At the end of each calendar year, I like to do a bit of a recap on my boating activities and costs for the year. Here is my recap for 2024.

Number of trips: 36

Nautical Miles logged: 1,591.8

Gallons of fuel purchased: 1,057.5

Cost of fuel: $4,732.27

Average cost per gallon: $4.31

Number of photos taken: 1,655

Cost of maintenance, repairs & parts: $21,379.24

Cost of moorage: $1,453.45

Cost of insurance: $2,178.50

Cost of shore power: $939.37

Enjoyment Factor: Through the roof!

Owning & maintaining a boat of this size is not for the faint of heart.

Keeping it functional and safe to operate requires effort and financial resources.

It's a harsh environment out there and stuff breaks with regularity no matter how careful I am.

To all the other boaters out there, don't compromise on safety.
