I really like to get a few Silvers in the freezer at this time of the year, so I invited my buddy Terry to go along on a fishing trip today. My boat is slow so on a day trip we only have a few limited options on where we can go.

Here is the track from my Garmin InReach that shows the 3 places we fished today.

The first place was around the tip of Vallenor Point. We only trolled here for a couple hours with no action at all. It was actually quite rough here with the swells rolling in from the NW. It was hard to move around the boat.

From there we moved over to the Camaano Point area. There were several boats over there so we were hopeful. We actually hit 2 fish here, but the net man (that would be me) messed up and we lost the first one right at the boat. We did manage to get the second one aboard, and it was a nice fat Silver, just what we were after.

After a long dry spell with no action here we decided to move across Behm Canal to the Pup Island area. There were numerous boats over there so we were very hopeful. But in the end we got no more fish there and we went home with just the one in the cooler.
