This was to be our last trip during my stepdaughter Cristina's visit.
Tyler (oldest grandson) really wanted to fish some more but Cristina was focused on having a beach picnic.
Apparently, they debated, negotiated, and eventually agreed that is we could get a bit earlier start than we usually get, then Tyler could fish for 2 hours, and then we would go have the beach picnic.
Amazingly we made it down to the boat fairly early and I was able to pull out at 8 AM.
The crew for today's adventure consisted of:
Cristina and her husband Devon
Oldest grandson Tyler and his SO Megan
Tyler's longtime buddy Luke
Youngest grandson Scotty
Devon's nephew Jorel
Here is a map from my Garmin InReach that shows our track for the day.

The area marked with a blue circle is where we dropped anchor to bottom fish for a couple of hours. The area marked with a blue square is the little cove where we had our beach picnic. It is known locally as Ice House Cove, but it is not marked that way on navigational charts.
Here is a more detailed map that shows where we anchored for bottom fishing. We caught some halibut there last summer, but they eluded us on this trip.

Here is another more detailed map that shows the entrance to Ice House Cove and the mooring buoy where we tied up. It's just a couple of miles from where we were bottom fishing.

There is no dock there, so we had to launch the raft and ferry all the people and gear to shore, but we made it happen. I had brought some firewood, but we also gathered quite a bit from along the shoreline.
The weather was great and there were no bugs at all. We had a nice fire, lots of food & drink, more S'Mores and generally a good time there on the beach. We had to relocate the fire at one point because the tide came up and covered our original location for the fire.
We wrapped up the picnic in late afternoon and made it back to the harbor by about 7:20 PM.
A good time was had by all!
